According to the instructions received from the Ministry of Infrastructure, exemption from tolls on the motorway applies to all categories of vehicles on all holiday weekends, from Saturday 1 July to Monday 4 September.
Exact hours of exemption from fees:
- on Fridays from 12:00
- on Mondays until 14.00 (entry gates will be closed at 12.00 – ticket collection)
On the so-called long August weekend (August 15th is a public holiday), the exemption from tolls will apply from Friday, August 11th at 12.00 to Wednesday, August 16th at 14.00. (entrance gates will be closed at 12.00 – ticket collection).
This means that people entering the Motorway on Mondays after 12.00 will collect entry tickets and if they reach selected exit gates before their closing by 14.00, they will leave the Motorway without paying a tolls (despite having a ticket).
Remark!!! A driver who appears at the exit after 14.00 will be obliged to pay the toll in accordance with the applicable regulations, i.e. in the absence of a ticket to pay for the longest section for a given exit gate. For vehicles of 1 category the rate is max PLN 30, for vehicles 2, 3 and 4 categories max PLN 71, while for vehicles of 5 categories max PLN 298.90. The description of the vehicle category is available on the website www.a1.com.pl in the payments/vehicle classification tab.
Important! During free weekends, traffic on PPO Rusocin and PPO Nowa Wieś takes place with 3 entry gates and exit gates, on larger SPOs like SPO Lubicz and SPO Nowe Marzy there are 2 entry gates and 2 exit gates, while on the remaining SOPs 1 entry and 1 exit. The limitation in the number of open gates is dictated by safety issues, it aims to calm traffic at the entrances and exits, while guaranteeing smooth traffic at the gates. Drivers are asked to slow down and pay more attention to the toll plazas and go to the gates marked on the light board with a GREEN ARROW.
